Enghouse Interactive donates to a children and youth project

The specialist in customer interaction solutions supports a Berlin recreational facility in company with Westcon Group.

Frankfurt am Main, March 19th, 2015 – In the course of a charity campaign Enghouse Interactive and its business partner Westcon Group collected donations for the Berlin „Holzwurmhaus“. The socio-pedagogical children and youth recreational facility will apply the money to various outdoor activities as well as to IT equipment.

The children and youth recreational facility „Holzwurmhaus“, a pedagogical project of the SozDia Stiftung Berlin, offers teenagers the possibility to organise their leisure proactively and thus help them to realise and improve their individual skills in a social environment.
Already in the past the Enghouse Interactive business partner Westcon Group supported the “Holzwurmhaus” by means of commodity contributions – among others in the form of laptops.

As this kind of facilities are given increasingly less financial donations on behalf of the public sector, the Westcon staff of the German service department decided to organise a spontaneous fund-raising campaign with tombola resulting in a total of 385 Euro. Westcon Group as well as Enghouse Interactive donated each exactly the same amount on top so that a total of 1,155 Euro could be collected by means of the tombola.

„We would like to say a big thank you to Westcon Group and Enghouse Interactive for this generous donation corresponding to the means of pedagogic equipment we are having on hand in three months”, says “Holwurmhaus” project manager Karsten Landgraff obviously being touched. “With this donation we are able to buy a great tent of outdoor overnight stays and equipment like a basketball hoop”, explains Landgraff. The remaining amount of the donation by Westcon Group and Enghouse Interactive was already marked off for the purchase of a small tablet pc and Just Dance-DVDs for Wii console.

With its customer interaction solutions Enghouse Interactive not only sets standards on the German market but also meets its social responsibilities amongst other things by means of donations. In this context it also has to be mentioned that IT Sonix AG and Voxtron being trademarks of Enghouse Interactive support e.g. the “Tabaluga Drachenkinderheim Leipzig” resp. the “Forum gegen Armut e.V.” in Ahlen.
